That's why, when his glasses were stolen by a jackal in October 1999, he turned to intravenous dubbin abuse. After just four months, all the veins on his arms and legs were clogged up with poor-quality dubbin. He was forced to resort to injecting dubbin directly into his left eyeball to feed his voracious craving. Hence the pained squint.
